Fish Shawarma

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. skinless fish fillets, cubed (squid works really well)

  • 1 big onion, finely sliced 

  • 4 tbsp. oil

  • 1 tsp. salt

  • 2 garlic cloves, sliced 

  • ½ tsp. pepper 

  • 1 ½  tsp. paprika

  •  1 tsp.cumin

  • ½ tsp. ground coriander

  •  ½ tsp. turmeric 

Method

  1. Heat the oil and put the onions to fry, stirring occasionally.

  2. Add the spices and garlic and fry for 2 more minutes. 

  3. Add the fish and keep stirring till it’s cooked, 10-15 minutes. 

  4. Serve with Lafa bread- Middle eastern flatbread (link to recipe)
